"Sweetie's Search for a Forever Home in the Garden State"

A tale of a spirited stray dog who goes in search for a forever home, meeting a lively cast of creatures along the way.

The Author Ann Brasco is a native to Caldwell NJ and
the Illustrator Denise Debiasi, a native of Nutley NJ.

the soul behind the story

The first three years of Sweetie’s life largely remain a mystery. All we are certain of is that the beginnings of Sweetie’s life tell a tale of courage. Sweetie remained without a home, living in wild, for the first few years of her life.

She was then found and placed in a kill shelter until she was saved by the kind folks at Eleventh Hour Rescue. It was at Eleventh Hour Rescue that Sweetie met her forever home and became a part of the Brasco family.

Sweetie now lives in the Garden State with her forever family. Her family includes three little girls and two Collie Mix brothers, Finn and Jake, who were also saved through Eleventh Hour Rescue.

Sweetie’s life largely remains an example that all things are possible with hope and determination. Her forever family often remarks that they aren’t quite sure who rescued who.

Eleventh Hour Rescue

Eleventh Hour Rescue is the very reason that Sweetie is here with us today.

Eleventh Hour Rescue is a volunteer based, non profit, 501c3 organization that literally saves dogs and cats from death row. Founded by the incredible Linda Schiller, this tremendous organization saves the lives of over 3500 animals annually...changing animals and families' lives forever.

'EHR' relies on the generosity of our volunteers to provide loving foster homes for dogs and cats pulled from death row in high-kill shelters. They invite you to explore their website and humbly offer you the chance to let one of their exceptional animals touch your heart the same way they each touch ours.

Without the assistance of others, Eleventh Hour Rescue couldn't do what they do, and that is to simply give them a chance. Without the kindness and generosity of others, their animals don't stand a chance.

$1.00 from the sale of every book will be donated directly to Eleventh Hour Rescue. Let's raise awareness, spread compassion, and sell a million Sweetie books....that would be 1 million dollars to Eleventh Hour Rescue!
